Everdon Original Paintings

All Everdon original paintings are painted with professional acrylics on Belgian linen and finished with an archival UV-stabilised varnish.

Display

Display your painting indoors in a stable environment and away from direct sunlight.

Avoid positioning the artwork immediately above fireplaces, heaters, air-conditioning outlets or other sources of direct heat, or in locations subject to significant or rapid changes in temperature or humidity.

As Belgian linen is a natural-fibre support, maintaining reasonably stable interior conditions will assist in preserving the canvas, paint layers and overall condition of the artwork.

Handling

Handle the artwork carefully and avoid touching the painted surface or the reverse of the linen.

When moving the artwork, hold it by the frame or outer edges with clean, dry hands. Do not press against the front or back of the canvas.

Cleaning

Avoid unnecessary contact with the painted surface.

The frame may be dusted carefully with a clean, dry, soft cloth. Do not apply water, household cleaners, solvents or other cleaning products to the painted or varnished surface.

If the painted surface requires cleaning, or if the artwork is damaged, we recommend consulting a qualified paintings conservator rather than attempting to clean or repair it yourself.

Varnish

Everdon original paintings are finished with a GOLDEN archival aerosol varnish which provides a removable protective layer over the acrylic painting.

The varnish contains ultraviolet light stabilisers and assists in protecting the painted surface from dust, minor surface contact and the effects of ultraviolet exposure.

Varnish does not make an artwork immune from fading, heat, moisture or physical damage. The display and care recommendations above should therefore continue to be followed.

Everdon Editions & Everdon Studies

Everdon Editions and Everdon Studies are professionally produced on artist-grade cotton canvas and presented in floating timber frames.

Display

Display your artwork indoors and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or strong reflected light.

Keep the artwork away from fireplaces, radiators and other direct heat sources, and display it in a stable, moisture-free interior environment.

Cleaning

Do not use water, liquid cleaners, chemical products or household cleaning solutions on the canvas.

Settled dust may be removed gently with a clean, soft brush. Avoid rubbing, scrubbing or applying pressure to the printed surface.

The frame may be dusted carefully with a clean, dry, soft cloth, taking care not to make contact with the canvas.

Display Permanence

Everdon Editions and Everdon Studies are produced using materials specified by the manufacturer as providing up to 200 years of display permanence.

Display permanence is subject to appropriate display and care conditions. Exposure to direct or reflected sunlight, excessive heat, moisture or unsuitable cleaning methods may affect the appearance and longevity of the artwork.

Hanging

Hanging hardware is not included. Please select wall fixings appropriate to the size of the artwork and the construction of the wall on which it will be displayed.
